Simply my time, knowledge and experience. I set the business up so that there are no obligations to product providers – investment companies, insurance companies or super funds. Sure we use insurers investments and super funds, but only where they are appropriate.

It’s a flat fee based on time and complexity. It’s quoted ahead of time to avoid surprises. Every 12 months we reconfirm what has been paid, what services have been provided and that you’d like to continue the advice relationship.

No. We’ll guide you through your choices, but it’s you who determines the outcome. With investments and superannuation, we offer every client a choice of cost and complexity:

1. Low cost (one of the lowest-cost options in the market)
2. A combination of control and cost
3. More control, higher cost (SMSF’s)

Yes. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Economics (1999, University of South Africa). I have held the two-year post-grad Certified Financial Planner designation for a decade. I have completed the governments newly implemented FASEA exam and comply with the associated Code of Ethics. I’ve worked in Australia and the UK, covering investment markets globally for over 20 years.

We cover the cost of the initial meeting. The reason is that we need to be certain we can help and that we are a good fit — the client/adviser relationship is a two-way street.
